At Swayo, we built this app for people who care about the planet — and we know you also care about your privacy. We designed Swayo with privacy as a top priority from day one.
We've written this policy in plain, simple language (no confusing legal jargon!) to explain exactly how we handle your data. The short version: your data stays on your device, we never collect or share it with anyone.
🤔 What Data Do We Collect?
Spoiler: We collect almost no data at all:
No personal identification required
You never need to register an account or give us your name, email, phone number, or any other personal information to use Swayo.
Your activity stays on your device
All your commute logs, carbon calculations, and progress data are stored only on your phone, never on our servers.
No tracking or analytics
We don't use any tracking tools, we don't monitor how you use the app, and we never collect information about your device.
Sharing is your choice
When you share achievements via your device's share tool, we never get access to that data — it's handled entirely by your device.
🔒 You Are Fully In Control Of Your Data
Since all your data lives only on your device, you have complete control over it at all times:
- You can edit or delete any individual commute log at any time right in the app.
- You can delete all your data in one tap from the app settings whenever you want.
- You can export all of your data to your device for your own personal backup at any time.
- If you delete Swayo from your device, all of your data is permanently deleted along with the app — there are no hidden backups stored anywhere.
🌐 Third Party Services
Swayo doesn't integrate any third-party advertising, analytics, or data collection tools that would access your information. We don't sell any of your data (because we don't have any!) to third parties for any purpose.
👶 Privacy For Everyone
Swayo is safe for people of all ages to use. We don't knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13, and since we don't collect any personal information at all, there is no risk of that happening.
🔄 Updates To This Policy
We may update this privacy policy occasionally when we make changes to Swayo's features. When we make changes, we will clearly notify you the next time you open the app after an update, and post the updated policy here with a new effective date. Your continued use of Swayo after changes are posted means you agree to the updated policy.
